Made to Stay is happy to announce an event to help seniors beyond our usual members, with the simple and yet tedious task of raking the fall leaves. Below we are accepting applications from volunteer teams who want to help, as well as applications from seniors who need the service at their home. Make no mistake, there is a great need for this volunteer service in our community. Raking leaves, and cleaning gutters can be difficult, if not impossible, for many seniors. But, with your help, they can be ready for winter. Seniors often try to do these clean-ups themselves, putting them at risk for injury.
This is going to be a fun, team-building experience for many businesses, organizations, and other groups-sign up a team today!
Teams will be paired with a senior in Paducah-McCracken County. Rake a Difference Day will occur on November 4, 2023 starting at 8:00 a.m.
Teams that sign up should bring their own rakes, gloves, and also a ladder if they wish. Made to Stay will provide lawn garbage bags for each team.
Sign up a team, through October 13th. Lawn garbage bags, and senior yard assignment info will be available for pickup at the Made to Stay office November 1st & 2nd.
